Brian Hess named on the Hill's 2022 Top Lobbyist List

Today, Brian Hess was named one of the Hill’s 2022 Top Lobbyists. This is the second year in a row he has been included on the list.

2022 also marked Brian’s fifth year with the Goodfriend Group/Emmer Consulting. Brian joined the practice with no government or political experience, and has grown to one of the top lobbyists in DC in a very short time. Many of our clients herald his reliability, creativity, and passion for their causes.

Brian also serves as the Executive Director of the Sports Fans Coalition. His biggest fight this year has been the Equal Pay for Team USA Act, which would grant equal compensation to all Olympians. Through Sports Fans Coalition, Brian has been one of the lead advocates on this issue and helped get the bill voted out of the Senate Commerce Committee unanimously. Brian also has carved out a niche as an expert in the live event ticketing arena, especially where that intersects with antitrust policy. In October, working with a coalition of like-minded advocacy groups, launched a campaign to break up Ticketmaster. A month later, the New York Times announced that the DOJ had begun investigating.

In his own words:

"I'm honored to be included as one of the Hill’s 2022 Top Lobbyists alongside such influential advocates. The work we’ve accomplished at the Goodfriend Group and Emmer Consulting is nothing short of extraordinary. I’m lucky to represent the kinds of clients I do — non-profits, labor unions, and mission-driven companies that help people connect in meaningful ways with one another. I can’t wait to see what 2023 has in store for us.”
